I think Akane is just pretending to me angry and wants to look, too. He may be a "baka" but he's also quite handsome, she just won't admit it. (Same with him and her looks, which only get better as the series/manga progresses- she cute and definitely not flat chested!) Nice take on the classic hot springs theme!
